What is Nibbii?
Nibbii is a native macOS desktop companion and pixel pet that lives by your MacBook notch. It reacts to your music, celebrates your focus streaks, and remembers your conversations with local-first privacy.
Which Mac models and macOS versions are supported?
Nibbii requires macOS 15.0 Sequoia or newer. It runs natively on all Apple Silicon chips (M1, M2, M3, M4) as well as 64-bit Intel Macs.
Does Nibbii record my screen or capture keystrokes?
Never. Nibbii requires zero screen recording permissions, zero screenshot capture permissions, and zero accessibility surveillance. All pixel animations are rendered in a dedicated native window layer, and pet memory stays strictly on your local disk.
Does Nibbii work if my Mac does not have a notch?
Yes. If you are using an iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio, or an external monitor without a camera notch, Nibbii automatically creates a floating custom perch near your menu bar so your companion has a natural home.
Will Nibbii drain my MacBook battery or slow down my workflow?
No. Written in native Swift with Metal-accelerated sprite rendering, Nibbii consumes under 1% idle CPU. It draws negligible energy and operates silently in your peripheral vision without interrupting active windows.
How does the music reaction feature work?
When Apple Music or Spotify plays a track, Nibbii reads the local playback state and tempo to trigger synchronized dancing animations. No audio is recorded or sent to any cloud server.
How much does Nibbii cost?
The base app is free forever with 1 starter companion (dog), 2 seasonal worlds, and progression through Level 10. Optional Pro access is available as a $9.99 Lifetime purchase, or $3.99/month for Pro plus 30,000 AI Sparks every month. Eligible new accounts receive an optional 7-day Pro preview with no credit card required.
What is your refund policy?
We offer a 14-day first payment refund promise. If Nibbii Pro is not the right companion for your Mac, email hello@nibbii.pet within 14 days of your initial purchase for a full refund.
